The Dog Whisperer 4: Ep 25: Fear of Dogs
Ernesto Robles is constantly hounded by his four children to get a dog. There's only one problem: Ernesto is terrified of canines. His cynophobia began when he was a young boy and he and his friends were throwing rocks at a neighbor's dog. The dog jumped the fence and tore after the frightened boys. The friends ran into the house, slamming the door on Ernesto. He woke up in the hospital as the doctors were injecting rabies shots into his stomach. Now at 38 years old, Ernesto's heart starts pumping whenever a dog is near. He gets very nervous and envisions the dog attacking him. Any dog, from Chihuahua to Great Dane unleashes Ernesto's panic. In his job as a realtor, Ernesto often works with clients and their dogs. But he feels that if a client's dog doesn't trust him, the client might not want to do business with him. He's also stopped running outdoors, for fear of having to face off-leash dogs. Ernesto wants to know how it feels to walk on the street without this fear, and he also wants to provide his wife and children with a four-legged companion. Cesar is called in to exorcise Ernesto's fear. Will his cynophobia be dog-gone, or will Ernesto remain a scaredy-cat?

The Dog Whisperer 4: Ep 27: The Red Zone
Monica Hoover and Justin Ternes enjoyed the company of Sandi, a 1-1/2 year-old female red-nosed pit bull for nearly a year before acquiring a Trinity, a 2-1/2 year-old female American pit bull. When the dogs were first introduced, it seemed like they would become one big happy family. But domestic bliss soon turned into a nightmare when Sandi and Trinity began fighting, often fiercely, over everything from food to toys. The household became so stressful that the only solution was to separate the dogs. Then Justin took the extreme step of moving in with his parents, and taking Sandi with him. Any reconciliation between the two feuding pets only resulted in tears, battle scars, and frustration for Monica and Justin. Ultimately, they made the uncomfortable decision to put Trinity up for adoption. That's when Monica looked at Cesar's website and convinced Justin that this might be a way to keep her beloved Trinity. Justin not only agreed, but also suggested they find a house with more land for the dogs. But even 13 acres wasn't enough room for the both of them. Trinity and Sandi continued to be separated at all times, moving in and out of the house and yard in a well-orchestrated dance. Their few encounters have resulted in fights that were serious for Sandi and Trinity, and dangerous for Monica and Justin. Will the Dog Whisperer bring peace to their valley? Cesar travels south to end the civil war between these two dueling pit bulls.

Bree was just 12½ when she began volunteering at the Orange County Humane Society, and even then, her desire to help and work with animals impressed shelter manager Jean Del Rosario. Working at the Humane Society, Bree was introduced to a new case that was different from all the others, a one year old Rottweiler named Apollo. Apollo quickly earned a bad rap, growling and lunging at the men, and eventually the other employees as well. But Apollo's hostile demeanor melts away when he is with Bree, allowing her to build a special rapport with this unruly Rottie. Bree would adopt Apollo, but can't because of the men in her family. Now, after ten months at the shelter, with no adoption in sight, Apollo's days are sadly numbered. The day before his scheduled euthanasia, Bree and a few volunteers brave the mob of people and dogs seeking Cesar's help at the Petco in Huntington Beach. Anita Brandenburg suffers from Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, a degenerative nerve and muscle disease that has left her confined to a wheelchair for the past 12 years. Chocolate Lab Beau came into Anita's life about two years ago and has proved to be an effective service dog in many areas. He opens and closes doors, turns on and off lights, answers the phone, gets Anita's clothes, helps with laundry, and even aids in grocery shopping. Despite his helpful ways, Beau has one major drawback; he is terrified of the bus, Anita's only means of transportation. Beau's behavior starts even before the bus arrives. As soon as he hears the engines, he'll start panting and shaking and it only gets worse from there. Anita fears that he might try to dart from the bus and get hit by a car. Anita and Beau took to the crowds at the Huntington Beach Petco to get some help from Cesar. Because lines were so long, they were turned away, but someone saw their need for help and brought them straight to the show's producers.
