Life at Aliwal

Aliwal is the result of thousands of years of geological transformation, that continues to this day. Every year during winter the Benguela current forks. The main part of the current carries on up the West Coast, but the small fork carries on up the East Coast where it eventually meets the warmer waters of the Aghulas current.
