It’s estimated that a century ago there were over 100,000 tigers in the world. Today the population has dwindled to between 3,000 and 3,500 – a decline of over 95 per cent.

This hard-hitting documentary is at the frontline of the battle, following people with extraordinary stories who try to protect our endangered species from illegal exploitation. With skins, organs and bones fetching tens of thousands of U.S. dollars on the black market, tigers have little defense against organized crime, corruption and poaching.

Eco Crime Investigators follows undercover agents from the EIA (Environmental Investigation Agency) as they dive into the ruthless and murky world of environmental crime. They are armed only with undercover cameras and a resilient dedication to protect the natural environment.
