On Dr. K's Exotic Animal ER, the cases and cures are as wild and unexpected as the animals that come through the door. Along with her skilled and dedicated staff, Dr. Susan Kelleher treats a dynamic array of patients ranging from goats to monkeys, birds, rabbits, pigs, fish and every imaginable animal in between.  "Everything but dogs and cats. If it will fit through the door, I'll treat it," is Dr. K's motto!

Located in South Florida, Dr. K's practice-Broward Avian & Exotic Animal Hospital-treats thousands of intriguing animal cases each year. Many of Dr. K's patients come in as emergencies due to the fact that exotics are often prey animals that tend to hide their symptoms until their illness becomes life-threatening. Dr. K's talented team is comprised of Associate Veterinarians Dr. Veronica Pardini and Dr. Sara Stoneburg, intern Dr. Sara Wyckoff, and a committed staff of Veterinary Technicians. Together the team cares for the various animal cases that come into the clinic, while educating exotic pet owners about proper husbandry and performing life-saving procedures every single day.

Each hour-long stand-alone episode follows the engaging and heartwarming stories of Dr. K and her staff tackling multiple exotic animal care cases. The doctors and staff at Broward Avian & Exotic Animal Hospital treat every animal, large and small, with dedication and determination to give the best care possible. It's a rollercoaster ride for the staff, the loving pet owners, and the animals as they are treated for peculiar ailments and behaviors, and often with unpredictable outcomes.
