The beauty of big cats has long captivated our imaginations, yet these majestic predators now face a battle to survive. 

 

With Africa's lion population suffering a decline of over 90% in the last 50 years, cheetahs disappearing from over 75% of their range and the fact that there are now more tigers living in captivity than in the wild, there is a very real problem. 

 

Big Cat Week is our annual week of programming dedicated to these fantastic felines.

 

Featuring UK premieres and never-before-filmed behaviour in the wild, you will follow cheetahs, look at lions and put pumas under the microscope.

 

Big Cat Week airs all week at 9pm.
