Megashredding: Planes, Trains and Cars travels the globe to follow the recycling of mighty big machines as they're cut down in size for recycling. In New Mexico, a jumbo jet costing a hundred million pounds becomes parts the size of beer cans in a matter of hours. Whilst in Florida, an 18-tonne steel train is attacked by 'T-Rex' cutting jaws, sporting some of the world's most expensive knives that can slice through steel nearly two inches thick, like scissors cutting through paper. And as a fleet of automobiles come to the end of the road, mighty UK mega-shredders eat 2-300 cars an hour, processing their metal to be reborn as shiny new Land Rovers.
