Spur-Thighed Tortoise Courtship

Through April and May males build up their stamina for the mating season. Courtship happens in stages. First, pursuit. And then persuasive knocking. Usually followed by more surprisingly quick pursuit. And some harder knocking. Eventually the rough courtship ends and he gets his chance.
