DESCRIPTION

Wildebeest, zebras and gazelles begin their perilous migration for food and water.

The Real Serengeti follows wildebeest, zebras and Thompson's gazelles as they embark on a 1000km clockwise migration from Kenya's Maasai Mara through the southern plains of the Serengeti. This annual quest for fresh grass and water opens the travelling megaherd to constant mortal danger: lions lie in wait on granite outcrops, leopards ambush stragglers and calves, and hyenas commute up to 70km to feast on the migrating creatures. This spectacular new two-part series transports you to the heart of the Serengeti megaherd.
