Along the way, Anthony opens up about his career, the passing of his dad and the pressures of being a father in his own right. But being a bona fide superhero doesn’t prepare Anthony for their final ascent up an icy waterfall, where even the smallest slip could lead to disaster.

Bear takes Oscar winner Natalie Portman into the slot canyons of the Escalante Desert. Along the way he teaches her technical mountaineering skills such as how to place pitons when rope climbing, how to transfer rope systems, and how to make and light a signal fire. On day 2 Natalie takes these skills that Bear has taught her and needs to execute them in order for both of them to get extracted.

Bear takes Marvel superhero Simu Liu into the mountains of the Canadian Rockies in the dead of winter. They are dropped on a mountain top where Bear teaches Simu how to safely descend the mountain and how to prioritize survival needs. On Day 2 Bear sets up the ultimate arctic weather challenge, testing Simu and ending in the duo stripping down and taking a plunge into a frozen lake.

Ashton Kutcher joins Bear in the jungles of Costa Rica. As they traverse through rivers, swamps and jungles, Bear teaches Ashton essential survival skills including how to travel with fire, traverse a mangrove forest, and do a commando crawl. On Day 2 Bear sets up a rope challenge and Ashton must muse the commando crawl skill to cross over a 300 foot-high gorge.
