Cambodia: This expansion floods surrounding fields and forests and many more areas of flooded forest are created….home to millions of breeding fish and colonies of nesting water birds. The lake is also home to many communities, living in floating villages. These move with the water and disperse more widely around the lake, when it’s flooded. Cambodia: This forest region holds the largest population of Asian elephants in Cambodia. Smaller than their African cousins, they are jungle dwellers. A matriarch, the oldest in the group, leads her female relatives in the search for lush new leaves and grass Elephants need to eat 10% of their body weight every day, so three quarters of their day can be spent eating.
