Africa: Lion cubs face many dangers -- even from their own species. When males take over a pride, they kill any young sired by the deposed males. Japan: Japanese macaques (Macaca fuscata) are the only monkeys in the world to enjoy the hot springs. The hot volcanic baths help maintain the macaques' healthy body temperature.
