Yukon Gold celebrates the enduring myth of the Great Gold Rush and the irresistible lure of a modern day treasure hunt. Despite scientific and technological advances, the miner’s life hasn’t changed much in a hundred years. Sure the machines are bigger and dig deeper, but at the end of the day it’s the same hard, risky, dirty work for the same elusive lucre – and only the strong survive. The problem is, not every miner or every piece of ground is created equal. Any real miner will tell you that you never know what’s under the ground until you start digging. Add unexpected expenses, lost manpower, failed hunches or broken machinery and you can just as easily fall into a hole as dig gold out of it. Each of our characters is reaching for the top, but it won’t be easy. All of them have to prove their ground and prove themselves every single day on the job.
