Pushkar, Rajasthan, India: Camel owners shave intricate and detailed patterns into the fur of their camels in order to make them more attractive and increase their sales prices. Shaving like this requires a trusting relationship between shaver and camel as it can take up to a week to complete. Every day the camel must sit patiently for up to an hour, before it gets a break to walk around and eat. Camels are treated with love and respect in Rajasthan. This image is from One Strange Rock.
